Hi! Welcome to my website, and thanks for stopping by. If you're a reader and a fan of romance, then we have a lot in common. If you have a passion for travel as I do, then stick around and visit my Romantic Travels page. Before I was old enough to go adventuring on my own, I traveled through the written word. Books took me everywhere, and I was fascinated by the people in those faraway places, fascinated by the differences in how they lived and interacted with each other. I wanted to experience it all! As a kid living in the frozen
tundra of Minnesota, I had plenty of time for daydreaming about ways to
make my childhood fantasies come true. I could become a missionary and go
to the wilds of Africa, or be an actress and go on location, I could be a
travel photographer—or a journalist who went everywhere and wrote about
it. That, I decided, had to be the best of all worlds.Well, I never became a missionary, or an actress. But years later, and a few detours along the way, I did get that journalism degree and also managed to learn a bunch of stuff about photography. And since then, I've done my fair share of traveling. But it wasn't until I turned my writing efforts to romance novels that I really found my niche. As a writer, I can travel the world, ask all kinds of questions in the name of research, and then someone actually pays me to make up stories about it. How great is that!
My debut novel, Her Sister's Secret, was set in my adopted state of Arizona — a place that lays claim to some of the most powerful scenery you'll ever see and some of the most unique towns you'll ever find. If you'd like to see the setting for Her Sister's Secret, take a peek at my Romantic Travels page. There you'll find photos of the area and an article I wrote that was published in Women’s Circle Magazine. Be sure to check out The Style Files for writing tips, editor interviews, an article on entering contests, and another on Deciphering Rejection Letters that was published in the Romance Writers of America Report (RWR.) You can also sign up for my periodic e-newsletter to get the latest updates about my books, appearances and booksignings, and other news you can use. And don't forget to enter my ongoing contest. My site is always a work in progress, so please visit often. I'd love to hear how you liked my books and to hear about "your" travels. Who knows, we may see each other hiking up a mountain somewhere. You can reach me by E-mail, or at LindaStyle@LindaStyle.com, or write to me at PO Box 2292, Mesa, Arizona 85214-2292. Warmly, ![]() |
